Contemplation

David Rycroft's townscapes have always been animated by colourful, fleeting figures. Since 2010, he has been introducing figures into the abstract landscapes. Here, they contemplate the vast and dynamic expanse of the space they inhabit. These figures have a stability and power, yet are also integrated into the billowing movement of their surroundings.
