To celebrate its 40th birthday, UNESCO's Man and Biosphere programme is delighted to present an exhibition of paintings by David Rycroft.

The exhibition, Infinite Diversity : One Nature, especially commissioned for the 36th session of UNESCO's General Conference, explores the interdependence of human beings and the natural world.

The paintings celebrate naturalness and vitality- not only of the natural world, but also in human nature. The dynamic sweeps of colour, formed by natural, 'hands off' processes, together with the fluidity of the artist's brush-marks, communicate an appreciation of the natural world and the preciousness of our place within it.
